Gomel
Gomel is a historic city located in the southeastern part of Belarus, close to the border with Russia. Gomel is known for its rich culture and heritage and is a popular tourist destination offering many attractions to visitors. One of the most remarkable sights of Gomel, the city on the Sozh River, is the Rumyantsev and Paskevich Palace[6]. On the territory of the palace and park ensemble there is the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul and the Paskevich family tomb. Gomel is the second most populated city in Belarus. In 2022, more than 500 thousand people lived here.
